Basics
What is Luminora?
A daily calm companion built around language therapy and a light ritual:
- Daily notifications with high‑quality quotes
- SEEK: Ask (submit a question to receive an Illumination card with a random I Ching hexagram + a relevant quote + author + short bio) and Browser (an anonymous community feed of Illuminations)
- LEARN: save and organize quotes into personal collections
What is an Illumination?
A card for a single question: random hexagram + matched quote + author and brief bio.
How is AI used?
AI is limited to text understanding and matching quotes; hexagram draws are random and not deep divination.
Notifications & Widgets
How do I enable/disable notifications?
Grant permission on first launch or later via iOS Settings > Notifications > Luminora. You can adjust frequency and topics in‑app.
Are Home Screen widgets supported?
Yes. Add Luminora widgets for quick, calming glances throughout the day.
SEEK (Ask & Browser)
How does Ask work?
Enter a question in SEEK > Ask. The app draws a random hexagram and pairs it with a fitting quote, author, and bio to create your Illumination.
What is Browser?
An anonymous community feed of Illuminations. Reading others' cards can surface perspective and reduce isolation.
Can I share or save Illuminations?
Yes. Save to save illuminations for your personal library; sharing is anonymized.
LEARN
How do I manage my quotes and collections?
In LEARN, view, edit, and remove saved quotes and themed collections. Repetition reinforces positive self‑talk and goals.
Privacy & Data
What data do you collect?
We do not require birthdate or gender. Location is optional (for better notification timing). We collect basic diagnostics and usage data to improve the app.
Is my content public?
Only if you choose to post it anonymously to Browser. Otherwise it stays private to you.
How do I delete my account/data?
You can delete your account in Luminora App via Profile > Delete My Account. We can't recover your account or any data once the account has been deleted.
Is this a medical or crisis service?
No. Luminora provides inspiration and language‑based reframing only. In emergencies, contact local services immediately.
Subscription & Billing (Premium)
What do I get with Premium?
Unlimited Ask questions, full quote library, premium themes/wallpapers, and more (see in‑app details).
Is there a free trial?
Typically a 7‑day free trial. After it ends, your chosen monthly or yearly plan auto‑renews.
How do I cancel?
Manage in iOS Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends to avoid renewal.
Refunds?
Handled under Apple's policies since billing is via the App Store.
How do I restore purchases?
Tap "Restore" in the paywall or settings while signed into the same Apple ID.
Language & Platform
Which languages are supported?
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Spanish (expanding over time).
Minimum iOS version?
iOS 17+ recommended; check the App Store listing for specifics.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving notifications?
Verify iOS Settings > Notifications are enabled, check Focus modes, and reconfigure reminders in‑app.
Illumination generation fails?
Check your connection and retry. If persistent, email hi@luminoradaily.com.com with screenshots and time of occurrence.
